Admission Requirements

Applicants are admitted to Kean University on the basis of academic and personal qualifications. Applicants are carefully considered in light of their secondary-school record (both academic and personal), their performance on a scholastic aptitude test, and the University's estimation of their potential as a student.

Step Two: Upon receiving written notification of acceptance to the University, call 908-737-4420, write Department of Theatre, 1000 Morris Avenue, Union, NJ 07083, or e-mail the Department of Theatre at theatre@kean.edu to schedule an audition-interview appointment.

• Audition-Interview Requirements:
   For BA and BFA Actors - Prepare two contrasting    monologues not exceeding a total of four minutes.

   Singers may also prepare a short (16 bars) selection from a    Broadway musical. You must provide the sheet music for    our accompanist.

   For BA and BFA Designers/Technicians - Prepare a portfolio    with samples of art work, design projects, production    photos, etc.
