Conference and Classroom Support offers a wide array of support services to meet the audio/visual need of Kean University. We provide and support A/V technology for conferences, seminars, meetings, special performances, and classroom instruction. CCS also provides consultation for departments purchasing private equipment and manage all installation of A/V equipment campus-wide.
Our services include a loaner program in which we provide laptops, projectors, camcorders, a/v cables, and more for faculty use on a daily basis. Any equipment borrowed must be returned to our office the same day! All loans are subject to availability.
CCS also provides faculty training for utilizing equipped classrooms. Training is provided either on a one-on-one basis (referred to as "lite" training) or in a group setting. Lite training is scheduled through our office with at least 24 hour notice and based on availability of technicians. Group training announcements are emailed to all faculty and staff at least two weeks prior to scheduled date.
CCS is also responsible for repairing all A/V equipment in the classrooms (with the exception of anything PC related). Any A/V equipment malfunction should be reported to our office immediately.
Any and all visual presentations supported by the Audio-Visual Technology department should be tested prior to the date of the Special Event at which it will be viewed.
CCS does NOT provide A/V equipment and/or services for courses or special events scheduled in rooms which do not have A/V technology in them. Kean University currently has over 120 rooms campus-wide equipped with technology. If you are a faculty member who utilitize instructional technology regularly, please get booked in a room that is equipped!
CCS also does not provide keys or alarm codes for classrooms, podiums, or credenzas. If you need access to classrooms and the technology in them, you must contact your Dean or Chairperson for keys.
