What about MY Communication Standards?
· Students must demonstrate competence in communication: oral English and written English, as well as mathematics.
· Competency will be evaluated by the program's Admission Committee.
· All prospective Speech-Language-Hearing Science majors must pass a speech and language screening in order to be accepted into the program.

What are the requirements for retention?
· In order to register for the junior year, students must have completed appropriate course work and maintained a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75.
· Any student not offered admission to the graduate Speech-Language Pathology program will be counseled regarding alternative options.
· Once the transfer student has completed the sophomore course work, he will be held to the same retention standards as Kean University juniors in the program, as described above
