Clinical skills for planning and implementing speech-language therapy and measuring outcomes.
CDD 5203 Computer skills and resources for speech-language pathologists

Classroom and online experience researching and using new technologies for assessment and investigation of speech, language, fluency and voice.
CDD 5227/5228 Advanced clinical practice in speech-language pathology I/II

Supervised clinical experience in diagnosing and treating clients with communication disorders designed to provide professional training for student to meet state and national certification requirements.
CDD 5229 Disorders of phonology and articulation

Major theories of normal and disordered speech sound development: individualized assessment and intervention techniques for children and adults.
CDD 5242 Speech, language and auditory assessment and habilitation for students with hearing loss
(1.5 credits)
Comprehensive overview for speech-language pathologists of assessment and intervention of deaf and hard-of-hearing students. Special emphasis is placed on the needs of students with hearing loss in public school programs.
CDD 5243 Counseling in speech-language pathology
(1.5 credits)
Basic theory and background of counseling; different approaches to counseling; examination of the role of speech-language pathologists in providing information and personal adjustment counseling to individuals having communication disorders and their families
CDD 5265 Pediatric Dysphagia
(1.5 credits)
Evaluation and management of infants and children with oral-motor dysfunction, feeding difficulties and swallowing problems.
CDD 5266 Communication impairment in Autism Spectrum Disorders
(1.5 credits)
Communication characteristics of individuals on the autism spectrum from infancy through adulthood; history and classification of autistic disorders, current issues, and assessment and treatment practices will be investigated.
