Co-Curricular Transcript Program (CCT)
The Co-Curricular Transcript Program (CCT) is a system of recording students’ involvement in recognized Kean University programs, workshops, organizations and community services. The CCT Program is designed to encourage student involvement in the learning process, by documenting pre-approved educational experiences that take place outside the classroom and complement the academic transcript. Student involvement reflects active participation in learning experiences that can be assessed by an academic department or administrative unit, and verified by the Office of Student Life and Leadership Development. The CCT program is an important component of the developmental efforts within the Division of Student Affairs and reflects a belief in the value of the out-of-classroom experiences that students have during their college years. Students are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity so that they may present themselves more effectively when entering the job market, applying for scholarships, or when applying for admission to graduate schools. The co-curricular transcript is more than just a list of activities; students will be required to reflect on specific skills and growth achieved as a result of significant participation and commitment to involvement in student groups, civic engagement and structured leadership programs. Retreats, workshops and seminars presented by professional educators, scholars, or certified practitioners, are designed to enhance personal, civic, academic and cultural development through a variety of Kean University sanctioned opportunities.
