Teacher Work Sample:
I.
Definition: A process that enables teacher candidates to
demonstrate teaching performances directly related to the implementation of a
standards-based instructional unit by planning, instructing and assessing P-12
student learning. Candidates analyze
student learning and reflect on their teaching effectiveness.
II.
Objectives:
a.
to provide
quality programs for all prospective teachers;
b.
to increase
efficacy and accountability of Keans teacher candidates in the classroom by
connecting theory to practice;
c.
to meet
accountability standards of the US Department of Education and NCATE;
d.
to evaluate the
degree of impact on P-12 student learning made by teacher candidates.
