Students have an opportunity to gain practical expertise while working on the Kean University newspaper, The Tower, and to explore post-graduation career options in the news media.

Kean also offers an emphasis for students to earn a B.A. in Communication that will lay the foundation to earn a M.A. in Occupational Therapy.

The Communication programs offers opportunities for internships. All students are required to achieve and maintain a 2.5 G.P.A. to graduate from the program. Students with a 3.3 G.P.A. or better will be invited to become members of Lambda Pi Eta, the national communication honor society.
