A new education project at Kean University
We are living in a time of socio-economic and technological change that calls for new ways to approach learning and thinking. Rote learning of factual material (easily accessed on the Internet) no longer serves our children. Thriving in uncertain time which require individuals to be adaptive and flexible—requires creative thinking. An arts based education is the key to preparing the younger generation to meet the growing demands for creativity and innovation. Moreover, a curriculum that integrates the arts can also motivate learning in all disciplines and enhance standards-based education.A conference at Kean University
The purpose of “Educating the Creative Mind” Conference is to increase the awareness of the significance of the arts in children’s lives and education.
