Research Interests: The composing process, specifically the cognitive subprocesses writing involves; writing across contexts, levels, and disciplines; the retention and application of knowledge and skills.
Publications: Dr. Best has written extensively on writing and learning processes, including over 60 articles as well as the Journeys Near and Far Series written with colleague Dr. Jessie M. Reppy.
