Mailing of Absentee Ballots by County Clerks
As soon as practicable after the 40th day preceding the general election, the county clerk shall forward a civilian absentee or military service absentee ballot to each approved applicant.

Evening Registration

Evening registration shall be made available in the office of each commissioner of registration between the hours of 4 p.m. and 9 p.m.

Last day to receive mail applications for military service and civilian absentee ballots. At any time not less than seven days prior to an election, a military service or civilian absentee voter may apply to the county clerk for an absentee ballot.

Sample Ballots, Prepared and Mailed
(By 12 noon on the Wednesday before General Election)
Sample ballots shall be prepared and deposited in the post office addressed to each registered voter on or before 12 noon on the Wednesday preceding General Election day.

Deadline for Civilian Absentee Ballot Application in Person
(On any day up to 3:00p.m. on the day before the election)
Any civilian absentee voter who fails to apply by mail, for an absentee ballot 7 days prior to the general election (October 28) may apply in person, or by authorized messenger if the voter is sick or confined, to the county clerk on any day up to 3:00 p.m. of the day before the election (November 4).
