The exhibited word drawings are a selection of works taken from the ongoing series titled “Passages.” Roofing asphalt paper, white and silver welder’s pencil, as well as graphite are used, signifying loosely raw gestures similarly used by the hand and mind of a young child. The visual congestion throughout each piece suggests a duality by contrasting tonalities, themes and forms within the psychological landscapes. The word drawings, unrestricted and spontaneous, produce various forms of energy by reshuffling the flow of ordinary ideas.
