SPECIAL SECTION DESIGNATIONS

Most section designations are numeric (e.g., section “01”); so if a section designation has a letter in it (e.g., section “S1”), you’ll know that it’s a special section.  The most common special section designations are listed below:

Class is taught at off-campus location

For EEO Program students only

F

Course meets for the first half of the semester only

H

Course meets for the second half of the semester only
 

K

Class is taught on Ocean County (Toms River) campus

L

For ESL students only

P

For PASSPORT Program students only

Q

Recommended for students age 25 and older (EPIC Program)

R

Section is paired with a particular CS 0412 (developmental reading course) section; enrollment in the “R” section is restricted to students enrolled in the linked reading course section

S

Class is taught in Spanish and restricted to students in the Spanish Speaking Program

SL

One-credit Service Learning module linked to a specific section of a course

X

External Education section, designed for mature students, which has a very limited number of class meetings
