How do I apply for admissions? What is the deadline?
Applicants may apply online or may request an application package from the Office of Graduate Admissions (see “Contact Us”). Application deadlines are: Fall, 2006 admission - June 1, 2006

I already have a Masters degree. Do I have to take the GMAT?
Exemptions from the GMAT may be granted to applicants who have a Masters of Science degree from an accredited US college or university if the program they completed had a significant quantitative element (for example, computer science or engineering) and the applicant achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or greater in their graduate course work.

Applicants who have a terminal degree such as a Ph.D., M.D., or J.D. are exempt from the GMAT requirement.

How do I get information and register to take the GMAT?
The GMAT is offered all over the world, throughout the year. The best place to start is the web site of the Graduate Management Admission Council, www.mba.com. In addition to general information about the test, you can get a list of test locations, check seat availability at your preferred location, and register to take the test.

I am an international student who has graduated from an overseas university. What do I need to apply for admission?
In addition to the basic application requirements, international students who have graduated from an overseas university must submit the International Student Supplement and a course-by-course transcript evaluation by an outside accredited agency, such as W.E.S. (World Education Services). These items must be submitted as part of the application package and are subject to the application deadline schedule.

I have not taken any undergraduate business courses. What courses will I need to take to qualify for the Kean MBA-GM?
The Kean MBA-GM program has four pre-qualification requirement areas
(these are undergraduate level courses):

* Business Statistics
* Management Information Systems
* Differential Equations (or) Calculus for Business (or) Calculus I -II
* Public Speaking (or) Business and Technical Presentation

We welcome applicants from all undergraduate areas and will evaluate each transcript carefully and advise individuals on what combination of pre-qualification courses will help ensure their success.

I have an undergraduate degree in business. Can I get a waiver for any courses?
Core courses may be waived depending on the prior preparation of the applicant. No more than a total of 18 credits of the foundation courses may be waived. The applicant must have taken two undergraduate courses in the subject area or have taken the appropriate graduate equivalent and have earned a minimum grade of B to receive a waiver for any foundation course. The equivalency of such courses will be determined by the program director and the admission committee. For any foundation course waived, the student must take the corresponding advanced elective in this functional area.

The only language I speak is English. How can I become proficient in a second language?
First of all, it should be emphasized that proficiency in a second language is an exit requirement of the program. The student will choose a language from a list of approved languages and the Kean MBA-GM program will create ample opportunities to acquire the necessary proficiency level. Through the Office of Continuing and Professional Education, a student could take non-credit language and culture courses on the Kean University campus that are specifically designed to match the needs of the global business manager. Weekend and summer immersion programs are also available. The Foreign Languages Laboratory on campus also provides services, equipment, and facilities for students.

I work full-time. Can I still apply to the program?
The Kean University MBA-GM program is structured to allow students to hold full-time jobs while pursuing a graduate degree through evening and Saturday classes. The course scheduling is flexible enough, however, so students who wish may attend full-time and finish the program within 4-5 semesters.

What is the cost of tuition?
The cost per credit for New Jersey residents for 2005-2006 is $432.70, which includes tuition and fees. The cost for Out-of-State residents is $525.70 per credit, which includes tuition and fees.

How do I get financial aid or student loan information?
We suggest you start at the FAFSA.gov website, which has information on a variety of available student loans. You should also contact the Kean University Financial Aid Office at (908) 737-3190. For information on graduate assistantships available to full-time students, contact Dallas Everett, Graduate Assistantship Coordinator, at (908) 737-3442.

How can I get additional information? How can I get a catalog and an application package?
For additional information about the program you can contact either the Graduate Admissions Office or the MBA-GM Director. Contact Graduate Admissions to request a catalog or an application package.
