VACCINE DAY  INFORMATION

Please check this web site regularly for any updates.  More information will be posted as it becomes available.

Seasonal Flu Vaccine

Arrangements have been made to reschedule a Seasonal Flu Vaccine Day with Metropolitan Community Medical Care as soon as the vaccine is available. Metropolitan Medical Care accepts United Healthcare and Blue Cross (PPO’s). For those who need vaccination against seasonal influenza sooner; referral to local physicians are available at Health Services. Most local pharmacies provide vaccines for a nominal fee but usually do not accept insurance policies.

A seasonal flu vaccine will not protect you against 2009 H1N1. People at greatest risk for 2009 H1N1 infection include children, pregnant women, and people with chronic health conditions like asthma, diabetes or heart and lung disease.
