"It'll never work!" Perpetual Motion Machines are machines that claim to violate one of the laws of thermodynamics, so they are of course all frauds. Some of them are scams to rip investors off, some are the products of mentally disturbed people, some were just thought of before the laws of thermodynamics were known. You can see some at the links below which are pages maintained by legitimate sane people. It is the first object in the "Kean University Museum of Highly Questionable Devices" of which I am the curator. |
