In Spring of 1989 a group of no more than 10 Haitian students under the supervision of John Marcinski started to meet weekly to create what is now one of the most active organiztions in Kean University of Union, NJ. Fourteen years later, we are still strong and firm. The Haitian Student Association of Kean University (HSA) has been honoring, cherishing, and exposing our Haitian culture with pride. We do this through our "Annual Creole Festival". This year HSA will be hosting its14th Annual Creole Festival. The theme for this year's show is "The Coming of Age". The event will refflect haiti's past, present, and future, and each of those period's associated progress and success.
This special event allows us to physically share the Haitian culture through skits, poems, dances, fashion, food, music, art, live instrumental performance, comedy and other form of Haitian talents.
