Unit: jumping and landing                  focus of lesson: jumping and landing- basic patter, standing long jump, jumping for height

 

Safety considerations: a) work space will be free & clear of all obstacles; b) clear stop & listen/go signal will be given

Equipment Needed: Grade book /pen, bank/clips, 24 -28 ropes , 24-28 foam markers, 12-14 ribbons, 2-30’ ropes , 3 vball standards with hooks, 12 folding mats, 4 collection buckets

Student Objective s~ The students will (include NJ/NAT standard related to obj):

a) jump and land using basic patterns with correct forms 80%of the time, in the designated area; b)demo the station long jump with correct form 80% of the time in SSS while music is playing ; c) demo  jumping for height w/ correct form most of the time is SSS; d)answer Q‘s regarding basic jump/ land patterns correctly 80% of the time during a Q & A session; e)I.D./ reflect upon their own behavior level when asked by teacher/ and/or in a journal entry the last 2 minutes of class.
