Consider a Planned Gift to Jewish Studies at
Kean University

Like you, Jewish studies at Kean University must plan for tomorrow. We have hopes and plans for the future. We care deeply that the future of our students, faculty, and staff will be one of impressive accomplishments and always higher standards. And, like you, we are best able to plan for the future when we have a stable financial base to support our considerable goals. By establishing a planned gift to the Jewish Studies Program at Kean University you help to build the future of this important program. You will also gain the satisfaction of knowing that as long as there is a Kean University, your gift will make good things happen in Jewish Studies, such as providing scholarships to deserving students and attracting more outstanding faculty to the campus. Your gift will help our program maintain its promises.

Consider these planned giving options:

Charitable Gift Annuities...Boost Your Rate of Return

A Charitable Gift Annuity is a wonderful way to boost your rate of return while satisfying your philanthropic wishes. The concept of a gift annuity is simple. You donate assets that we reinvest. The Kean University Foundation, our partner, agrees to make fixed payments to you for life (and, if desired, for another beneficiary’s lifetime). At the end of the agreement, the funds are available for our use.

A Charitable Gift Annuity is particularly attractive because the rates (based on your age) typically produce higher yields than you would receive in the stock and bond markets. And when combined with partially tax-free payments, the effective rate of return is even higher.

Pledge a Gift in Your Will, Trust, or Estate Plan...Join Kean University’s
Medallion Society

Pledging a gift is a significant way of supporting the Jewish Studies Program. Pledge a gift in your will, trust, or estate plan to the Kean University Foundation, designating the Jewish Studies Program as the recipient. You’ll also qualify by naming Jewish Studies as the beneficiary (or contingent beneficiary) on any of your life insurance, IRA, and/or 401(k) accounts, or through a charitable gift annuity, unitrust, or life estate gift.  Your pledge to the Jewish Studies Program at Kean will also make you a member of the Kean University Medallion Society. Medallion Society members are recognized in several ways:

• Annual report and Web site listing
• Recognition and enrichment events
• Articles featuring dedicated donors
• Medallion Society plaque listing
• Medallion Society pin

If you’ve already included the Jewish Studies Program in your will, please let the Kean University Foundation know so that
we may express our thanks. Announcing your gift can inspire others to give, but we’ll also respect your preferences for anonymity if that is your wish.
