Victor Esquilin M.S.W., L.C.S.W. - Director
Mr. Esquilin is the Director of the Kean Counseling Center. He received his Masters Degree in Social Work from Adelphi University and is also a graduate of the Manhattan School for Psychoanalysis. He is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New Jersey, Certified Social Worker in New York, and a member of the Academy of Certified Social Workers. Mr. Esquilin’s many years at Kean University and extensive prior experience in community mental health contribute to his specialization in the areas of: men’s issues with emphasis on men of color, depression and interpersonal relationships.
Felice Nathans M.S.W., L.C.S.W. - Managing Assistant Director
Ms. Nathans is the Managing Assistant Director for the Kean Counseling Center. She received her Masters Degree in Social Work, Post-masters Clinical Certificate and Doctoral coursework at New York University. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New Jersey, Certified Social Worker –R in New York and a member of the Academy of Certified Social Workers. Ms. Nathans has extensive experience in the area of anxiety disorders and provides individual psychodynamic psychotherapy for the counseling center.
Robyn Rajs M.A, LPC, NCC - Assistant Director
Ms. Rajs has served as the Assistant Director of the Kean Counseling Center since 1990. She received her Master’s degree in Counselor Education from Kean University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). Ms. Rajs completed her post-graduate training at the Multicultural Family Institute as a culturally competent Family Therapist. She has particular interest in the areas of gender, relationships, sexual and interpersonal violence, bereavement and trauma. She is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) a treatment for healing the affects of trauma. She is also studying “Internal Family Systems” at the Trauma Studies Center part of the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy in NYC. Ms Rajs also has completed extensive training in the Enneagram Personality System a guide for psychological and spiritual growth and development.
Kimberly Quinn, MSW, LCSW, LCADC, ICADC - Coordinator of Substance Abuse Services
Ms. Quinn is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor in New Jersey. She is also an Internationally Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Ms. Quinn received her Masters Degree in Social Work from Boston University. She has extensive experience with mental health and substance abuse issues. As the Coordinator of Substance Abuse Services for the Counseling Center, Ms. Quinn provides assessment, treatment and alcohol programming for Kean University students.
Allan Hermann M.D. - Psychiatric consultant
Dr. Allan Hermann is a Board Certified Psychiatrist, who received his Medical Degree from Tulane University. He is an attending psychiatrist at Overlook and Trinitas Hospitals, and has been a clinical instructor for the department of psychiatry at UMDNJ. He has extensive experience in the areas of child, adolescent and adult psychiatry. As a valuable member of the treatment team, Dr. Hermann is the consulting psychiatrist.
Olga Yero - Office Manager
Ms. Yero is the full time secretary and office manager at the Kean Counseling Center. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice at Kean University. Her many years at Kean have allowed her to develop exceptional interpersonal and professional skills. Her friendly attitude and warm personality creates a welcoming environment for those who visit the counseling center. Ms. Yero is an asset to our professional team.
