PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The School Psychology Program is fully approved by the National Association of School Psychologests, a 63 credit professional training program which will lead to certification as a school psychologist and, for those students who complete a 1200 hour externship, the Professional Diploma in School Psychology. Students who complete the minimum 630 hour externship will be eligible for certification only. All students who enter the program without an appropriate Master's degree will earn the M.A. in Educational Psychology after successful completion of the first 33 credit hours of the program.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
In addition to the University's admission requirements:
- The following prerequisite courses: Theories of Personality, Abnormal Psychology, Tests and Measurements, and Experimental Psychology
- GRE (Graduate Record Exam) test scores taken within the last five years
- Three letters of recommendation
- Departmental interview
