Kean University's Certificate in Leadership and Communication provides the highest level of skill development in communication and leadership. Designed with the working professional in mind, the certificate program provides basic and advanced strategies and techniques to become an effective leader. Whether individuals are currently in a leadership position or are seeking to attain one, the Certificate in Leadership and Communication at Kean University will provide individuals the knowledge and skills to achieve their goals.
The 12-credit certificate program is designed to provide practical and theoretical knowledge for those who are interested in developing and/or improving their leadership potential. Students can complete the Certificate in Leadership and Communication within one academic year and can be enrolled either full time or part time. Students may apply up to six credits taken for the certificate toward an M.A. Organizational Communication.

Admission:
There are two admission tracks available: Credit and Non-Credit.
Individuals applying for credit status must complete the Application for Graduate Professional Coursework (below) and show evidence of a bachelor's degree (any area) from a fully accredited college or university.
A bachelor's degree is not required for non-credit status applicants. Non-credit status applicants should contact the Office of Professional Education at 908-737-3430 or conted@kean.edu
Continuing Education Units (CEU) and Professional Development Hours are available for non-credit as well as credit applicants.
