PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Designed for certified teachers, this program fulfills requirements for endorsement as Teacher of Pre-School through Third Grade (P-3) in the State of New Jersey.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

In addition to the University’s admission requirements:

• New Jersey instructional certificate
  
• Cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0
  
• Competency in oral and written English communication as determined in a writing sample at departmental interview
  
• Passing score on P-3 Praxis Exam

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

• 15 credits required for certification
  
• Teaching experience desirable but not necessary
