Teaching the Holocaust and
Prejudice Reduction Certificate
This 4 course, 12 credit certificate is designed for teachers in grades K-12 and responds to New Jersey's mandate to teach about Holocaust, genocide, and prejudice in New Jersey public schools. Many of the courses are also offered at local school districts.

EMSE 5342 Teaching the Holocaust (3 credits)
This course is designed to prepare K-12 teachers in New Jersey to teach the Holocaust in accordance with the mandate of the State Legislature in 1994.
EMSE 5343 Teaching Prejudice Reduction (3 credits)
This course is designed to prepare K-12 teachers in New Jersey to teach prejudice reduction.
EMSE 5049 Advanced Research Seminar in Teaching the Holocaust (3 credits)
This course is designed to do in-depth research to develop a teachable curriculum on a Holocaust related topic age-appropriate to the individual teaching assignment of the educators in the course.
EMSE 5099 Advanced Research Seminar in Prejudice Reduction (3 credits)
This course is designed to do in-depth research to develop a teachable curriculum on a Prejudice Reduction- related topic age-appropriate to the individual teaching assignment of the educators in the course.
