PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The Kean MBA in Global Management is a new kind of MBA, one that responds to the transformation of many businesses into global enterprises and prepares managers to succeed in a global business environment. The Kean MBA-GM is not a concentration, but rather a specialized MBA degree. In contrast to other general MBA programs offering concentrations in global management or international business, the Kean MBA-GM program offers a wider and deeper selection of global-focused courses, experiences, and training in global business issues, problems, and opportunities. In addition, the MBA-GM at Kean University has an extensive global experience requirement that sets it apart from other programs. The Kean Global MBA program has three distinctive components that together provide graduates with the specialized knowledge and skills necessary to manage multicultural and multinational workforces effectively in a rapidly changing global business environment: Core knowledge in Key Business Disciplines (e.g. marketing, accounting, finance); Advanced knowledge in Global Management issues (e.g. global leadership, international learning business tours). The structured and supervised extensive global experience component of the Kean MBA-GM is designed to give the student experience in living and working in a global environment. Students acquire this global experience through participation in a set of required activities from among a variety of options including study abroad, international business study tours, business internships in foreign countries, and domestic internships in global business. All Kean MBA-GM students must exhibit a proficiency in a second language before they graduate.
