THEORY / FOUNDATIONS OF CONSTITUTIONAL GOVERNMENT
(Concentration 3)
This subject area focuses
on the predominant theories of democratic governance that have been
propounded in classical, modern and contemporary times. Particular
emphasis is placed on the liberal tradition of constitutional government,
how that tradition has developed, and alternatives provided by the
critics of the liberal model of human nature and society.
