This concentration prepares graduates for administrative management positions in nonprofit organizations and other organizations that regulate or fund nonprofit organizations. The program provides students with opportunities in the classroom and in the field to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to become an effective program administrator. Students explore the diverse challenges of the non-profit field with practitioners, gaining the hands-on experience and the critical insights needed to move an organization's mission forward.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

In addition to the University's admission requirements:

  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Departmental interview may be required
  • On-site writing sample may be required

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

  • 48 credits; 30 in foundation courses, 9 in electives, 6 in required internship (Internship waived for students with appropriate experience)
  • 3 credit culminating research seminar
