PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The Master of Arts in Counselor Education, School Counseling Option, is CACREP and NCATE accredited. It is designed to provide education, training and state certification in School Counseling (Student Personnel Services). The program provides comprehensive training in both elementary and secondary school counseling, including supervised practicum and internships.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
In addition to the University's admission requirements:
- Official transcripts from every college or university attended
- Cumulative grade point average (G.P.A.) of at least 3.0. Lower G.P.A. may be considered based on the strength of the overall application.
- GRE (Graduate Record Exam) or MAT (Miller Analogies Test) scores
- Two letters of recommendation
- Departmental interview may be required
