Pumpkin Party

The date of the Pumpkin Party was set for Thursday, October 28 from 4 to 6 p.m. The cost of entry with a pumpkin to take home will be between $6 and $7, depending upon cost of set-up.

Next Steps

• Lisa Jones and Ann MacVicar to see if we can get Pumpins donated from Liberty Hall.

• Faith Jackson to start a menu list for parents to bring food and refreshments and to post information in Administrative Report

Book Fair

The group agreed to hold a book fair during the first week in November in the University Center Atrium.

Next Steps

• Lisa Jones to establish exact days of fair.

• Once dates are selected, Faith Jackson to organize parent volunteers to watch table.

Other Seasonal Parties

The possibility of holding the following parties were discussed:

• Gingerbread party on Monday, December 13

• Valentine Breakfast with a loved one on Monday, Feburary 7 or 14

Field Trips

Two shows at Wilkins Theatre are appropriate for the KUCC children: Very Eric Carle on December 3, and Greg Popovich puppets on March 14. Due to lack of funding, CCFK decided not to have any off-campus field trips until the spring. Possible dates are the week of April 11 and the week of May 9. Suggestions thus far are a visit to Liberty Hall or to the NJ Children's Museum in Paramus.

• Ann MacVicar to determine if we can get discounted tickets from Wilkins. If not, we may have parents pay to attend.

Fundraising

The pumpkin party is a fundraising activity, but more will need to be done. Lisa Jones brought in several catalogs to determine what kinds of items CCFK might want to sell for fundraising.Some suggestions were: Pizzza, candles, wrapping paper, but no final decision was made.

• CCFK to vote on next fundraising activity on Monday, October 4 meeting

Public Relations

Lisa Jones suggested advertising KUCC and its activities at the University Center Atrium. Faith Jackson suggested having a table for awareness at Family Day.

• Faith to look into having table on Family Day and finding volunteers to sit at table.
