Since its birth in December of 1975, Lambda Theta Alpha, Latin Sorority, Incorporated has set the pace for the empowerment of the "Universal Woman" in colleges and universities across the nation.

This empowerment, consisting of mentoring, support, and education coupled with the implementation of our 3 sacred principles of Unity, Love, and Respect, is not selfishly kept within our Hermandad, but instead spread out to the surrounding communities consisting of our families, neighbors, and colleagues.

We believe it is our duty as the Leaders of today and tommorow to facilitate the growth and imminent success of both the Latina and non-Latina student on every level, including undergraduate, graduate, and professional. We pride ourselves on being Latina by Tradition, NOT by Definition.

LTA takes immense pride in being the First Latin Sorority to exist in the nation. Nonetheless, we do rest idly on our past accomplishments. but thrive day after day by being ground-breaking, innovating, originating, never-imitating Lambda Ladies.
