Biography:Professor Larry Tung is Assistant Professor of Media and Film at Kean University in Union, NJ. He is also an award-winning documentary filmmaker and a freelance journalist. A native of Taiwan, he has been to 16 countries and resides in Brooklyn, NY. Credentials:Professor Tung received his M.F.A. in Television Production from Brooklyn College of The City University of New York. His documentary, Daughters From China, was awarded best documentary in Honolulu International Festival, and was an official selection in Vancouver Asian Film Festival, Reel World Film Festival, Asian Film Festival of Dallas, and several other festivals in North America. Previously a staff reporter for the English-language Taiwan News, he has written extensively about the immigrant communities in New York City. Professor Tung earned his bachelor’s degree in Commercial Design from Ming Chuan University in Taiwan.
