Information For CoopIS'98 Authors

Third IFCIS Conference on Cooperative Information Systems (CoopIS'98)

Important Note: The camera-ready version of an accepted paper is due on June 30, 1998. It must be sent electronically in a PostScript format to Michael Halper at the following e-mail address:

mhalper@turbo.kean.edu

Only in exceptional cases will a hard-copy version of the camera-ready copy be accepted. Such a submission will incur an additional charge of $10. It can be sent to Michael Halper at the following address:

Computer Science Dept.
1000 Morris Avenue
P.O. Box 411
Union, NJ 07083-0411 USA

The CoopIS'98 Proceedings will be published under the auspices of the IEEE Computer Society Press. We will, therefore, be using its specified style (format) for papers. All the details of that style can be found at: http://www.computer.org/cspress/instruct.htm. At that site, you will find a "format sheet" with lines and boxes showing the margins and print areas. If you hold it together with your printed page up to the light, you can easily check your margins to see if your print area fits within the space allowed.

Please download the file sample.ps and print it to get an idea of what the expected camera-ready format looks like.

The limit on the maximum number of pages per paper is 10. However, up to two additional pages can be purchased for $100 each, bringing the absolute limit to 12 pages.

LaTeX Users: We do have a LaTeX style file for you to use. Its name is latex8.sty (just click and, if necessary, use the save feature of your browser to get a copy). There are three other accompanying LaTeX files that you should also use along with the style file: (1) sample.tex (a sample LaTeX source file that utilizes latex8.sty. Please use this as a template for your paper); (2) latex8.bst (the bibliographic style file); (3) latex8.bib (an example BibTeX file). Again, you should download all four files.

Word Users: We have been informed that the Word-version of the author instruction guide available at the IEEE site mentioned above can be used as a Word "template" for preparing your camera-ready copy. Here is a link that we were given to the file: instruct.doc. Even if you use this template, please print out the above mentioned PostScript file sample.ps and compare it to your document for consistency.
