Mu Kappa Tau International Marketing Honor Society, Kean University Chapter
History:
Mu Kappa Tau was founded in 1966 by members of Pi Sigma Epsilon, the only National, Coed, Professional, Fraternity in Marketing, Sales Management, and Selling. Mu Kappa Tau is the only marketing honor society to be recognized by the Association of Collegiate Honor Societies. Mu Kappa Tau offers both international membership and chapter affiliation to its members.

Purposes of Mu Kappa Tau:
- To encourage and recognize scholarship and high academic
accomplishment among Marketing students. To stimulate interaction and
the exchange of ideas between members. To promote the advancement of
education in Marketing. To foster integrity in the conduct of a
Marketing career. To bring Marketing professionals and students together
on the basis of mutual interest, understanding, and helpfulness.
- Membership is limited to students majoring in Marketing with an
overall cumulative grade point average of at least 3.25 on a 4.00 scale.
This includes: Juniors ranking in the top 10% of their class and Seniors
and graduate students ranking in the top 20% of their class.
Membership Criteria:
Membership is limited to
students majoring in Marketing, who meet exceptional academic
requirements, with an overall cumulative grade point average of at least
3.25 on a 4.00 scale. This includes: Juniors
ranking in the top 10% of their class, Seniors and graduate students
ranking in the top 20% of their class, Graduate students having
completed 50% of their MS/MBA requirements and Doctoral candidates
completing their coursework.
