Program Description
The Master of
Science in Management Information Systems (MSMIS) is a
cross-disciplinary professional degree program designed to
bring together two bodies of knowledge; business management
and information technology. It is designed to give students,
from any undergraduate discipline, management and computer
problem-solving skills applicable to organizations utilizing
high technology computer systems.
The MSMIS program differs from the other master's degree
programs in New Jersey in that it requires neither the broad
range of courses needed for an MBA nor the highly technical
background required for a degree in Computer Science or
Operations Research. Instead, the program is designed to
prepare individuals to bridge the growing gap between
functional managers and information technology personnel.
Students can tailor their studies by selecting from a broad range
of graduate electives in Computer Science, Management and Marketing,
