Welcome to the Network Laboratory located in the Department of Computer Science at Kean University.

Our mission is to promote undergraduate research and investigation into software engineering for distributed computing and networks, including multimedia, wireless, and mobile applications. This work is motivated by two compelling factors driving the American economy today:

First, computing functions that might once have been implemented in hardware are now regularly being implemented - in a more flexible form and at far lower cost - in software.

Second, the lead time from conception to deliverable software product has shrunk from years to months. Things are changing faster, it is not just your imagination!

In the Network Laboratory, Kean University students and faculty work in cross-disciplinary teams, to solve problems, develop solutions, and master strategies which will ensure their continued success after graduation.
