Post-Baccalaureate Teacher Certification

Program

All applicants must apply to the program through the Undergraduate Admissions Office, Kean Hall, and 908 737-7100. Apply for Post Baccalaureate Teacher Certification.

Basic requirements to qualify for admission:

1. Earned Bachelor’s Degree- (Must submit a degree posted college transcript)
2. Overall GPA of  2.75
3. Praxis Exam

All elementary and Early Childhood (P-3) candidates must submit a passing score on the Elementary Content Knowledge Praxis exam prior to admission.

Students seeking K-12 subject area certification and have a Bachelors Degree in the subject areas must also submit a passing score on the appropriate Praxis Exam prior to admission.

At present no Praxis Exam is required for admission into the Bilingual/Bicultural or English as a Second Language certification.
