The Kean University Physical Education, Recreation and Health Department offers several degree programs tailored to prepare students to become top professionals in the expanding fields of physical education, recreation administration, recreation therapy, athletic training, adult fitness and health education. Recent statistics indicate that jobs in fitness and recreation are among the fastest-growing in the nation, and Kean is fully prepared to send students into the future.

We offer an entire teacher certification program for over 100 students majoring in Physical Education Teacher's Certification at the Kean Ocean campus. See the Resources page for the requirements.
