Now accepting applications for Academic Year
2010 - 2011

The Department of Computer Science offers scholarships to qualified students enrolled as Computer Science majors. These scholarships are open to continuing Kean undergraduates and transfer students.

These generous scholarships are funded through the National Science Foundation program Scholarships in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (S-STEM, #0804664). Funding for this competitive award program demonstrates the quality of CS programs at Kean University.

Qualified students majoring in Computer Science can receive up to $8,500 per academic year. Each scholarship can be renewed for the subsequent year - therefore, qualified students can receive $25,500 over three years through this program, providing for Sophomore-Junior-Senior years at Kean University.

Our Computer Science scholarship program has a number of special features designed to help students receiving the scholarship succeed in their studies and prepare them for entering high tech employment fields or a graduate school upon graduation.

These features include:

• Individual mentoring and advising by dedicated faculty

• Specialized tutoring

• Peer mentoring

• Participation in research projects

• Internships with leading employers

• Career opportunities in high demand fields

• Assistance with job placement upon graduation

Underrepresented minorities and female students are very strongly encouraged to apply
