POLITICAL SCIENCE ORGANIZATIONS
The department sponsors a club open to both majors and non-majors. It sponsors speakers and events designed to educate and inform the wider University community about political issues and candidates. The department also sponsors a United Nations experiential program, which prepares students to participate in the Harvard Model United Nations HNMUN) the Chicago University Model U. N. (ChoMUN) and the Howard University Model Organization of African Unity ( AU ).

The department also sponsors a Pre-Law Club,  a club for part-time students, and a College Democrats club.   All three clubs sponsor many extra-curricular activities. The Political Science Department sponsors clubs open to both majors and non-majors, full and part-time. All three organizations actively cooperate with one another in maximizing the sponsorship of extra-curricular activities and student opportunities.

The department gives qualified  students ( those students who have taken at least five courses in Political Science and maintained a GPA of 3.3 overall and a 3.3 GPA in the Political Science courses taken) an opportunity to join the Eta Sigma chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honor Society.
