Program

Welcome to the Department of Special Education and the Teacher of Students with Disabilities Program (TSD). Students who are accepted into, and successfully complete this program, are eligible to apply for New Jersey Certification as Teacher of Students with Disabilities. The undergraduate faculty wishes you well in your studies at Kean University and stands ready to assist you whenever we can. Please note that the handbook materials pertain to the program approved by the Board of Trustees in July 1985. Included are revisions to the program options of April 2005. Teacher education programs are changing, and it is your responsibility to check with the Undergraduate Program Coordinator or Program Assistant periodically to be sure you are following the applicable program guide sheet.
