LEVEL I
Tasks
Introduce concept of portfolio and explain components
Lay foundation for artifacts
Review artifacts in the form of class assignments
Develop philosophy of education

Introductory Field Experience
Instructor

Transfer Students
Program coordinators or designated faculty member will discuss portfolio
process.
Post Baccalaureate Teacher
Certification Students
Even though Post Bac students may have had some courses waived or given
credit for them (i.e. Introductory Field) they are still responsible for
completing a portfolio. They will be given the information at the time of entry
into the certification program.
Graduate
Instruction and Curriculum students are responsible for completing a
portfolio.
LEVEL II
Task
Continue development of portfolio
Collect one (1) artifact for one (1) College of Education outcome each in the areas of knowledge, skills and dispositions for a total of three (3) artifacts
Review portfolio
Evaluate using Portfolio Assessment Rubric (PAR)
Submit copy of PAR to Teaching
Performance Center
Persons Responsible at Level II
Instructors from the

University Supervisors will provide support & assistance.
LEVEL III
Tasks
Continue development of portfolio
Collect artifacts to include three (3) each for College of Education outcomes in knowledge, skills and dispositions for a total of nine (9) artifacts
Portfolio will be reviewed and evaluated by both supervisor and capstone course instructor using PAR.
Portfolio evaluation will be included in grade for capstone course.
Both capstone course instructor and supervisor will submit a copy of PAR to TPC.
Persons Responsible at Level III
The University Supervisor will review and evaluate the portfolio using the Portfolio Assessment Rubric (PAR).
The Capstone Course Instructor EDUC4000 (for all COE students except Physical Education), IEL4900, SPED4200, PED4610 will review and evaluate the portfolio using the Portfolio Assessment Rubric (PAR) and will include the evaluation in the grade for the capstone course.
Students will complete the portfolio in EC5565, EC5566 or EMSE5561.
