Teen Sexuality

Adolescence is a time of sexual awakening. Teens’ bodies, thoughts, and emotions change rapidly, with sexual curiosity being strong.  Today, media plays an important role in the lives of teens and their sexuality.  Yet, less than 10% of movies, videos, and television programs with sexuality themes incorporated any reference to the consequences of sexual activity (http://depts.washington.edu/thmedia/view.cgi?section=teensex).  Teens must make informed and responsible decisions about their reproductive and sexual health.
