Cougar Care

Kean University has officially adopted two cougars, Scout and Sage. They are housed at Essex County’s Turtle Back Zoo, West Orange, NJ. Their exhibit is a beautiful natural environment. Amidst the rock walls, waterfall and pond, our cougar Mascots play, relax, and sun themselves.

Kean University provides financial support for our mascots. Each year we contribute $3,000 which covers our cougars food, medical costs, and toys.
