People have always used the sky and hence astronomy to solve everyday mysteries like the changing seasons. Will Heyniger joined the The Geology/Meteorology Department as a Professional Service Specialist IV since 2001, but not before giving professional broadcast meteorology a whirl. Before coming to Kean University, he was a Broadcast Meteorologist for WRGB-TV in Schenectady, New York on the weekends for about a year. Prior to WRGB-TV, he was the the Morning Meteorolgist for WRNN-TV in Kingston, NY from 1997-1999 (broadcasting to the Hudson Valley, northern New Jersey and Southeastern Connecticut). He has traversed Kean University’s hall before his short on-air stint, as a student, graduating from the Geology/Meteorology department with a B.A. in Earth Science, option Meteorology in 1996. Since arriving at Kean he has seen numerous changes of applications overseeing the entire technological aspect of the Department. An avid surfer, he watches the weather even while doing what he loves!
