Dr. Ruth Griffith, associate professor in the Department of English, gave a KUWP professional development workshop for Kean faculty on the topic of how specific gaps in students' language proficiency in understanding deictic referencing in everyday usage can lead to to low performance on mathematics skill assessment of English language learners.
