National Writing Project Activities and Events for Faculty and Staff will commence this year. Those scheduled include the following:

October 29, 2008 (Tentative Date), College Hour: "Writing to Learn in the Disciplines," an interactive workshop with Linda Best to discuss writing to learn pedagogy and activities/assignments that support/supplement teaching and learning in the classroom rather than taking away from instructional time and focus on content.

December 3, 2008 (Tentative Date), College Hour: "Developing Rubrics to Guide and Evaluate Student Writing in the Disciplines," an interactive workshop with Linda Best to discuss formative measures for evaluating writing skills.
