This Is Sing Aphasia, a six-minute film that takes viewers on the group’s parking lot concert tour, is in the running for Best Awareness Campaign from the Easterseals Disability Film Challenge. Directed by speech-language pathologist alumna Gillian Velmer, SLPD, CCC-SLP, the comedy features snippets from the group's performance at ReelAbilities Film Festival NJ at Kean Stage. All likes, comments and shares on YouTube, Facebook and Instagram count as votes for the mockumentary.
The Michael Graves College Interior Design program received a six-year accreditation from the Accreditation Commission of the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA).
The interior design program was initially accredited by CIDA in 1999.

Kean's Doctor of Occupational Therapy program, the first OTD entry-level program in New Jersey, has been awarded full accreditation for seven years by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE). Kean's Department of Occupational Therapy offers both a master's and doctoral program.

Kean President Lamont O. Repollet, Ed.D., and Brookdale Community College President David Stout, Ph.D., signed an agreement bringing Brookdale into Pathway to Kean. The program gives New Jersey students who complete their associate’s degree at a partner college an opportunity to earn an affordable four-year degree from Kean. Read the announcement in Insider NJ.
Students, faculty and staff who are returning to campus for face-to-face and hybrid courses or cohort work schedules beginning Monday, March 1, are required to complete this online safety training to learn about health protocols currently in effect on campus. All members of the campus community also must adhere to New Jersey's restrictions on travel outside the region as well as testing and quarantine guidelines.

Kean President Lamont Repollet, Ed.D., and Middlesex College President Mark McCormick, Ed.D., this week signed an agreement bringing Middlesex College into the Pathway to Kean program. The program gives conditional acceptance to prospective students who don't initially meet Kean's admissions standards, if they complete their associate degree at a partner county college. Producing Artistic Director of Premiere Stages John J. Wooten received a 2021 Individual Artist Fellowship Award from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts and the Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation. Kean Provost and Vice President for Research and Faculty Jeffrey H. Toney, Ph.D., and his co-researcher Stephanie Ishack, M.D., Ph.D., received the People’s Choice Award for Best Film at the 2020 Sigma Xi STEM Art and Film Festival. Eligible undergraduate and graduate students at Kean USA can apply for funds through the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, which provides emergency grants to students whose educational expenses were impacted by the coronavirus public health emergency.

Kean University is pleased to offer free parking to all members of the University community, including faculty, staff and students, and encourages everyone to register for an e-permit. This Fall, nearly 4,000 parking spaces are available across the Union campus, which includes 51 new spots next to the new Liberty Hall Museum and Academic Center building.
Everyone is strongly encouraged to leave extra time for parking and take advantage of open spots on East Campus, where a shuttle bus can take you over to the main campus.
A faculty member in psychology, Raquel Stuart, Ph.D., will serve as Acting Associate Dean, College of Liberal Arts at Wenzhou-Kean University starting in June.
She recently gave a lecture, Say Goodbye to the Past, and Live a Purposeful Life, at the Wenzhou Overseas Students Center as part of the Wenzhou Social Science Community's program to invite professionals from different disciplines to conduct public "sharing sessions."
