ACADEMIC ENGAGEMENT
Completion Requirements: 4 core items and at least 5 elective items must be completed

REQUIRED ITEMS
- Complete at least 30 credits per academic year
- Submit credits completed for Year 2
- Submit credits completed for Year 3
- Submit credits completed for Year 4
- Attend an Academic Support Workshop (tutoring, writing, or public speaking workshop)
- Participate in Kean Research Days
- Apply for graduation
OPTIONAL ITEMS
- Schedule and participate in three Academic Support Service appointments.
- Participate in a Tutoring Session
- Participate in a Writing Session
- Participate in a Public Speaking Session
- Participate in a Supplemental Instruction Session
- Meet with Academic Advisor Twice a Semester
- Participate GRE, LCAT, LSAT trainings
- Make Dean’s List
- Maintain a GPA above 2.5 GPA and/or in compliance with your academic program requirements.
- Attend Advisement Week Session
- Facilitate during an Advisement Week Session (junior and/or senior year)
- Apply for graduate school
- Shadow someone in a field of interest to you and your major
- Attend Convocation
CAREER DEVELOPMENT

HEALTH AND WELLNESS
Completion Requirements: 5 core items and at least 5 elective item must be completed

REQUIRED ITEMS
- Attend a nutrition program
- Attend one alcohol/drug prevention program
- Attend one program offered by the Kean Counseling Center
- Use campus fitness and recreation facilities
- Get a Seasonal Flu Vaccine
OPTIONAL ITEMS
- Visit the gourmet dining dietician
- Get Yourself Tested tabling event (Student Health Services can verify)
- Attend a sexual health related program
- Post a picture of a healthy meal you are eating and tag #keanwellness
- Enroll in a fitness or exercise class on campus

- Participate in the Great American Smokeout-reflection

LEADERSHIP AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Completion Requirements: 4 core items and at least 5 elective items must be completed

REQUIRED ITEMS
- Complete the True Colors Assessment
- Maintain membership in an on-campus organization and/or employment in an on-campus department for 4 semesters
- Serve on an Executive Board for a student group, Student Government class or Student Organization for at least one semester
- Partake in organizing and facilitating and on-campus event
OPTIONAL ITEMS
- Perform a random act of kindness for another Kean student
- Join a leadership program through the leadership institute
- Join an Honor Society

CIVIC ENGAGEMENT

- Attend each of the recurring service projects offered by the Center for Leadership and Service at least once
- Vote in a Student Organization or Alternate Student Trustee election
