In-person tours are temporarily postponed until normal operations resume. Please complete our registration form to express your interest in visiting the Skylands and we will contact you with more information.
Tours for prospective students are held every Thursday at 1:30 p.m., except on holidays. Upon request, applicants may be considered for an instant admissions decision* in addition to their tour. Registration for either event is encouraged. Individuals who are unable to attend a regularly scheduled tour may request alternate dates and time via the registration form or by email (keanskylands@kean.edu).
*Candidates who apply through an instant decision event will receive a waiver for the $75 university application fee. Applicants must be prepared to present all official college transcripts, as well as that from their degree-granting high school in order to receive full consideration. Questions regarding admissions criteria may be directed to transfer@kean.edu.

Academics
Kean Skylands offers four degree-completion programs designed for students who have completed an associate's degree and wish to further their studies for a bachelor's degree close to home. All programs include a combination of face-to-face and online instruction.
B.S. in Biology (Environmental Option): Biology is the study of living organisms and the world around us. Students gain a greater understanding of the role science plays in society and prepare for jobs where they can impact our environmental sustainability.

- Learn to safeguard the natural world against environmental threats
B.A. in Criminal Justice: Criminal justice is about upholding the law and keeping the community safe. Students receive immersive training in how to identify new potential safety threats and respond nimbly and swiftly to criminal activity in an ever-changing global environment.
- Gain real-world insight into the American legal system and contemporary issues in policing, corrections, victimology and advocacy
- Practice investigation techniques, including crime scene methodologies
B.S. in Management (General Business Option): Management professionals harness capital, resources and people to improve the bottom line for businesses of all kinds. Students gain the specific skills demanded in the labor market around the globe.
- Study strategies and trends to make business decisions for corporations, startups and nonprofits
- Understand human resources, supply chain management and other key business functions
B.A. in Psychology: Psychology embraces all aspects of the human experience — from the functions of the brain to the behavior of nations, from child development to care for the elderly. Students acquire a nuanced insight into how the mind works, which allows them to easily transition from the classroom to clinical and corporate settings.

Student Life
Kean Skylands is home to a vibrant community of engaged students. Many can be found on campus long after their classes have ended. With ten hiking trails and a lake right on our property, there are many activities for students.
Skylands' students are invited to participate in any of the university’s 160+ clubs and organizations, as well as on and off-campus trips and service projects. Skylands is also home to campus specific clubs and chapters and regularly holds events that allow students to get involved and help the local and university communities.

Learning Support Services
Kean Skylands students have access to all of the University’s learning support services, many of which can be accessed remotely providing for the utmost convenience.
The Nancy Thompson Learning Commons provides peer-to-peer tutoring services, as well as assistance with writing and public speaking. Students may also take advantage of Kean’s experts in our Office of Career Services as they begin to consider internship and experiential learning opportunities and prepare to enter the workforce.
Students in need of accommodations in or outside of the classroom are encouraged to contact the Office of Disability Services.
