Kean’s Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) led by Executive Director Tamika Quick, was recently established and launched under the leadership of the Vice President for Employee Relations and Chief Labor Counsel with a mission to promote DEI principles across campus and in all areas of campus life. DEI frequently collaborates with Labor Relations to pursue groundbreaking projects, such as the Equity in Action Presidential Postdoctoral Fellowship Program, which seeks to expand faculty diversity through an innovative union partnership. This program is the first and only of its kind in the State of New Jersey.
Kean’s Office of Labor Relations seeks to work collaboratively to facilitate meaningful dialogue between employees, labor, and management and pursue new avenues to expand labor equity for all employee classifications. Employee Relations works in partnership with Human Resources in many aspects of employee performance and implementation of collective bargaining agreements. There are currently seven labor unions representing workers in various job functions and titles. Please visit this page for more information and to view current collective bargaining agreements.
