Associated Press Presidential Inauguration Exhibit
January 20 through February 20
With the historic inauguration of President-elect Barack Obama as a backdrop, Kean University’s department of communication, in collaboration with Liberty Hall Museum, will open this new exhibit featuring compelling news photos from the Associated Press. The more than 80 photos in the exhibit include a number of the AP’s Pulitzer Prize-winning images and pictures taken in this year’s run for the White House by Senators Hillary Clinton, John McCain and Barack Obama.

The exhibit shows American presidents at war and at ease, in victory and in defeat, confronting national crises and facing personal scandals, running for office and leading the country on the world stage. Amid the extraordinary voter interest in the 2008 race for the White House, the new exhibit helps illustrate how coverage by AP reporters and photographers has been the dominant source of presidential news across the U.S. and around the world.

Wednesday Afternoon Tea

Our Winter Wonderland afternoon tea is the perfect place to sip tea, enjoy finger sandwiches and desserts while gazing at the formal English garden from the comfort of our glass-enclosed porch. A tour of Liberty Hall will follow afternoon tea.
