Home > Calendar July The Pleasure of Your Company: The Power and Politics of Victorian Dining Kean University and Liberty Hall Museum will collaborate on a new exhibit, The Pleasure of Your Company: The Power and Politics of Victorian Dining, exploring the life of Lucinetta (Lucy) Halsted Kean, one of the most-powerful women in Washington D.C., during the early 20th Century. The exhibit will be on display at Liberty Hall Museum beginning in May and continuing through 2008 Wednesday Afternoon Tea Wednesday, July 2, 16, 30 Afternoon Tea is served every Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on the glass-enclosed porch overlooking the formal English gardens. The menu consists of a selection of sandwiches, pastries, scones and clotted cream, jams and choice of two teas. Guests interested in touring the grounds must arrive by 1 p.m. A short introductory film begins at 1:45 p.m. with tea promptly at 2 p.m. Time: 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Price: $30 per person ($27 for Liberty Hall Members) and includes a house tour Reservations are required
